Why add compassion to mindfulness
Mindfulness teaches us to observe: to notice when we are being hard on ourselves. That is an essential first step, but observing suffering is not always enough to transform it.
The second step is to respond to that harshness with kindness. Research on programs that combine mindfulness and self-compassion suggests their benefits are greater, and last longer, than mindfulness alone.
This program is for people who carry a persistent inner critic despite what they have achieved: professionals, managers, people with heavy responsibilities, and those who have tried meditation with partial or temporary results.
The five sessions
Session 1
Rediscovering the inner treasure
Recognising that the body, the breath, the senses and the mind are already precious resources.
Session 2
Recognising inner resources
Empathy and compassion are natural capacities; here we learn to turn them toward ourselves.
Session 3
Fully inhabiting each moment
Cultivating curiosity and appreciation, even in ordinary moments.
Session 4
Sharing and abundance
Kindness is not a scarce resource: the more gently we treat ourselves, the more we can give.
Session 5
Preserving the treasure with dignity
Making these practices last, with realism and gentleness, without turning them into a new project to succeed at.

Taught by
Stéphane Offort, an experienced mindfulness teacher
Stéphane took up intensive meditation practice after studying theoretical physics, and deepened it with great Tibetan masters, including fifteen years in retreat. His teaching, both experiential and rigorous, belongs to the Buddhist tradition as much as to secular mindfulness.
Questions people ask
Do I need experience?
No. The program is accessible even if you have never meditated. It is especially relevant if you already practise mindfulness but your inner critic has stayed.
Is this program religious?
No. It is taught in a secular way, open to everyone, whatever their beliefs.
What is included?
Five live sessions of two hours, audio recordings of all guided meditations, a written summary of each session, and a 30-minute individual follow-up if you need to catch up or go deeper.
How is it different from MBSR?
MBSR focuses on stress and its effects over eight weeks. Inner Wealth is shorter and centred on self-compassion and our relationship to ourselves and others.
